The Honey Stinger Waffles are a sweet waffle snack that is easy to eat while hiking. It looks like the waffles can be consumed in three to four bites. The waffles are flat and can easily fit in a shirt or pants pocket or a hip belt zipper pocket. The waffles are made with the same organic ingredients in each flavor that includes organic honey. Natural flavorings have been added to the lemon and chocolate flavors. Most of the calories are from the high fat and sugar content, making it excellent for a quick energy boost.

All of the waffles are 160 calories. The chocolate waffle has more fat and sodium and less fiber and carbs than the lemon and honey flavors. I find it interesting that the chocolate waffle has more protein and less sugar than the honey and lemon flavors. The waffles appear to be a quick energy snack as a result of the honey. It appears these would not work well as a meal replacement energy bar. I am interested to taste the chocolate as that is my favorite flavor. I am curious if the lemon is overpowering and if the honey is bland by comparison. I am looking forward to getting these waffles out on the trail to see how they perform when I need a quick energy boost.
This concludes my Initial Report. Please check back in a few months for the results of my testing. Thank you to Honey Stinger Waffles and BackpackGeartest.org for allowing me to participate in this testing opportunity.
